These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of the Drainage Works website and the services provided by Drainage Works Ltd ("we", "us", "our"). By engaging our services or using our website, you agree to these Terms. Please read them carefully.
Drainage Works Ltd is a drainage diagnostic and repair company registered in New Zealand, based in Hobsonville, Auckland. We are part of the Foundations Group.
We provide drainage inspection, diagnostic, and repair services including but not limited to CCTV drain inspections, blocked drain clearance, drain and stormwater repairs, and drainage reports.
Our services are provided to residential and commercial properties throughout the Auckland region. We reserve the right to decline any engagement at our discretion.
All quotes provided are estimates based on information available at the time. Final pricing may vary where additional scope is identified during the course of work — for example, where a CCTV inspection reveals defects that require repair beyond the original scope.
We will seek your approval before proceeding with any work that exceeds the quoted amount. Prices are stated in New Zealand dollars and are inclusive of GST unless stated otherwise.
Bookings can be made by phone, email, or through our website enquiry form. We will confirm your booking in writing.
If you need to cancel or reschedule, please provide at least 24 hours' notice. Cancellations made with less than 24 hours' notice may incur a call-out fee. We reserve the right to reschedule appointments where circumstances beyond our control prevent attendance.
You are responsible for ensuring that we have safe and lawful access to the property and all relevant drain access points at the agreed time. If access is not available at the scheduled time and we are not notified with reasonable advance notice, a cancellation fee may apply.
You warrant that you have the authority to grant us access to the property and to authorise the work requested.
Where an inspection report is included in the scope of work, we will deliver a written report within the timeframe agreed at booking. Reports reflect the condition of the drainage system at the time of inspection only and do not constitute a guarantee of future performance.
Reports are prepared for the benefit of the commissioning client only and may not be relied upon by third parties without our prior written consent.
Payment for inspections and blocked drain clearance is due upon completion of work unless otherwise agreed in writing. Drain repair work requires a 50% deposit before work begins, with the balance due on completion. We accept payment by bank transfer, credit card, and other methods as agreed. Overdue invoices may attract interest at the rate of 2% per month on the outstanding balance.
We reserve the right to withhold reports or documentation until payment has been received in full.
We carry out all work with reasonable skill and care. However, to the extent permitted by law, our liability to you in connection with any services is limited to the price paid for those services.

Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or any liability that cannot be excluded under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 or other applicable New Zealand law.
If you are acquiring our services for personal, domestic, or household use, the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 applies and gives you rights that these Terms cannot override. If you are acquiring services for business purposes, you agree that the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 does not apply.
All content on our website — including text, images, logos, and reports — is owned by or licensed to Drainage Works Ltd. You may not reproduce, distribute, or use our content without our prior written consent, except as permitted by law.
You agree to use our website only for lawful purposes. We make no warranty that the website will be uninterrupted or error-free. We may update, suspend, or discontinue the website at any time without notice.
Our collection and use of your personal information is governed by our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms.
These Terms are governed by the laws of New Zealand. Any disputes arising from these Terms or our services will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the New Zealand courts.
We may update these Terms from time to time. The current version will always be available on this page. Continued use of our services after any changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
